I have driven by this place a million times but never knew until recently that it used to be the lock-keeper's house for the C&O Canal. It used to sit between two canals but now, with landfill in place, is on Constitution Ave., near the White House. Nobody seems to know about this place, but it is one of the oldest existing houses in Washington (1835), and I was pleased to have captured it!
