Spring Visit to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens

We decided to take a drive out to Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, situated 15 minutes from home near the DC-Maryland border. Although we always go for the annual water lily and lotus festival, we thought we'd see what was there in advance of it. It was disappointing that there weren't many birds, but we did find a few things of interest to photograph.

If you are into this kind of a scene, there is a place called Lilypons Water Gardens near the northern border of Montgomery County, near the Monocacy river, that you will also find interesting. But I have not been there recently. They do have a website.
