green flash

... or at least as close to it as I've ever gotten on film (pixels).
The afterglow about 20 minutes later was pretty nice too!

Wonderful shot, Dave ... I've heard of the green flash but never have seen it. I'm curious as to what those vertical light shafts are in the lower left ... look almost like lightning but I doubt that ... great shot ... voted

Thanks Dave. I had never heard of a green flash before this, let alone seen one. Given how fleeting the phenomenon is, it is remarkable to have caught one.

The "heart" shape is nothing more than a curious cloud backlit by the sunset. The odd structure is the mid-section of the radar tower for the airport. The green blob to the left is the last rays of 07/07/07 here on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
