first cut

Without a large workspace, cabinet saw, and outfeed table system my only option for breaking down
large sheet goods is to lay them out on the floor and section them with my saber saw. It's tedious.
Here, the metal edge guide is clamped to the piece. Using this gives me a straight, accurate cut.
I will usually make each cut just a little "proud" and then trim all the edges later at the table saw.

Great idea for the stiffener in the middle, amazing how much a piece of metal can move!
