And that's the path I've chosen here. Those Kaspersky plug-ins have a higher priority in this environment. I'll keep checking the update link and as soon as all these have gone away I'll take the leap.

Yeap, you're right. i thought that you meant the main program, but this is about the plugins. FF does this with some plug-ins, but then they do get updated and they work. You have the option to not update this time and check it up at a later point if this is still the case with the plug-in.
