And you thought *you* had a bad day!

Actually it's pretty appropriate given the circumstances. I got a new (used) manual focus lens today.
Good news is it's in Excellent+ condition. Bad news is that it's a non-AI (old rangefinder) lens!
These are not "recommended" for new DSLR's like my D3/300 without modification. Oops! My bad.

I risked a mounting this afternoon anyway for a few shots and think the old glass might be worth
the few extra bucks it will cost to have modified. Be interested to hear what you might think.

Looks like a keeper to me...some of those old Nikkors are gems!

The older lenses are so well made and last forever. I use my old Minolta lenses (from the 80s) all the time and love them. I think there is very good clarity and color in this photo, here. I suppose modification would be good if not too expensive.
