24 installation day

Today was the day! Everything was set up to *finally* move the cases out of the shop and into my office.
My neighbor was a great help. He hot wired the ceiling fan and light switch and covered it to code.
Then he helped carry the sections into the house. The lights/fan will be controlled via remote now.
That's very handy plus it allowed me to avoid cutting a hole in the back of the case for the switch.

I could not have built these any bigger. Well, I could have, but it was a tight fit as it was getting
them down the hallway and around the corner into the room. Each piece is secured to the wall at
the top with angle brackets to prevent tipping. We get earthquakes here regularly and this will
keep the entire assembly secure. It will take a pretty big tembler to bring these guys down.

Now it's time to finish sanding and sealing the shelves and it will all be done!

Now that you put it in the room, it looks even bigger!

Looking very nice, Dave! I like the thick base, looks beefy.

They look really good - certainly a job well done. Have you got loads of books to fill them?
