The Kreg pocket screw system made assembling the face frames a snap. There's no glue required.
Glue on end grain isn't very effective anyway. The other option for building these involves
biscuit joinery... but that's much more difficult and does require glue. These joints are tight!
The small gaps at the bottom are no concern as they will eventually be covered with a piece of
base moulding. The plans called for wider stock... but none was available.
