We went to Waterford mainly to tour the Waterford Crystal factory. We wound up also visiting Waterford Castle, now a fancy hotel which you can only reach by ferry across a small stream. The ferry is literally pulled back and forth by a pair of cables, mostly submerged but visible as you approach the shore
