Harris Direct Seattle Marathon Seattle, Washington. November 28, 2004

My 15th marathon and yet another "training run" marathon. I took most of the pictures in this album along the way and that probably cost me at least 5 minutes on my final time.

Freeway exit to Mercer Street and race start Space Needle in Christmas livery Crowd near the start line at 7:30AM 5th Ave and Harrison - Start line is just to the left
Marathon walk - official start Marathon poster with Space Needle accompaniment Some of the marathon crowd Running on 5th Avenue about a mile into the race
Just onto I90 - headed toward the floating bridge Entrance to floating bridge Runners both directions in the fast lanes On the way back from Mercer Island - looking north
View from the bridge to the south About to exit and head toward Seward Park Headed south toward the park Lake Washington in the sun
Another runner offered to take my picture Entering Seward Park View from the south side of Seward Park - apparently I got Mt. Rainier in the shot w/o realizing it On the back side of Seward Park
More Seward Park Yet another Seward Park shot with Seattle skyline in the background Marina with Lake Washington and Bellevue in the background Headed north along the lake shore
Looking across Lake Washington More Lake Washington from the course Still in the sun - what a spectacular day for a race My wife likes Mini Cooper's - so I took this shot for her
No wall today! Short steep shot up Galer St. - followed by more hilly terrain up Madison In Interlaken Park View from the park
Looking across the ship channel from the park to U. W. (Stadium roof on the right) Headed back toward Seattle Center - crossing I5 I5 traffic - stops for no man nor marathon Lake Union
The Space Needle And again - that's the finish, now about 2 miles away More Lake Union And Lake Union again
Finish area in the stadium - Julie took this Stadium again The stadium and finish from ground level All smiles in the recovery area
Me with my daughter Kava and her friend Wing
