Just across the freeway from Upper Antelope Canyon, lies its sister, Lower Antelope Canyon. This was a much nicer photographic experience for me. Almost no people, no rush, nobody meandering in front of your shots, or bumping into your tripod. No fighting and jockeying for a good spot to take photos. The casual time you need to look around, set up, compose, take pictures and enjoy everything. Much easier to touch your inner artistic self. Photographers guide themselves at their own pace. Some say the lighting is no good past early afternon, but my shots were all taken from 3:30-5:00pm. The lighting and glow was obviously fantastic. I went here after seeing Upper Antelope Canyon in the morning. There is a two hour limit here, but they close at 5:00pm.
