After a soccer tournament was done for the day in LA, I couldn't help myself from traveling two hours to this National Park. Although I got there late (after 5pm), I managed to click off a few photos before the sun set. Unfortunately, I didn't see much of the park, and was behind a mountain when the sun went down. I knew I would get there late, but figured I could catch some nice sunset shots. The sky was alive with color giving some very memorable silhouette shots. Quiet and from another world, the park was surprisingly pretty, although only having a few shades of brown and green during the day. My photos do not do the sky justice after the sunset. I'll go back another day, with better planning, and my tripod for those late evening shots.
Most incredible is the relationship of white Pronuba Moth and the Joshua tree. The moth depends on the Joshua Tree for laying its eggs and seed for food for its larvae, while the Joshua Tree only has the moth for pollination.
Fantastic gallery! some day I have to visit this place.
