OK, this guy wasn't horrible as guides go, but here, he's telling us
about a ditch, or moat, that surrounded the city of Abomey back in it's heyday.
Today, the moat is a trashfilled gully. But it used to be so big it could
deter an army, but it's not now ...and it used to surround the whole city, but
it doesn't anymore ...and it used to be deep, wide and steep, but now it's just
an undulating bump in the landscape, filled with rubbish, used as a toilet and
barely noticeable unless pointed out ...so as interesting as the guide tried to
be, no one was really excited about it, as seen by Lauren's, Mo's, and John's
expressions here. So their all just listening. Stop laughing John.
