The title because this shot really makes me think of the
geographical location of Sudan, between Islamic and Black
Africa. A mixture of both, yet not totally belonging to either.
This girl reminds me of the mixing of cultures.

Taken during the Whirling Dervishes "ceremony" at the Shrine of
Imam in Omdurman. I would definitely recommend this to anyone
visiting Khartoum, as this is an actual cultural event and not
run for the tourists. Be prepared to eat some beans though, as
everyone there must eat before the Dervishes perform (in theory
at least). If you're there early, early being before the Dervishes
perform because there really is no set time, take a walk around the
shrine. Watch out for the blood balls being thrown out though.
