One of the merchant's at the ferry crossing to Djenne. They were relentless.
This woman, along with "Ms. Good Buy", a little woman with an Italian accent,
and about a dozen others, hounded every passing tourist. Selling everything
from necklaces to carvings to food to hats as seen here. They were sellers
extraordinaire. They convinced Brad out of about 80,000 CFA (included in the
price was the hat seen here), Kath got a necklace, at least three of us bought
a water bottle holder, a few of us also bought some little pancake fritters,
sweet and savory varieties.
Good fun. Relentless but not aggressive and always with a smile. I don't
think these women would have any problem giving Wall Street guys a run
for their money. ...and I'm serious.
Taken at the ferry crossing of the Niger River, Djenne, Mali.
