OK, these people here in the old town of Mut are too nice. The general
rule is to decline an invitation at least three times before you actually
accept. Why? ...because the people here have respect, honor, and above
all the rule of hospitality. The only problem is that they cannot afford it,
and if you accept, you have to realize that you are taking food out of their
families mouths, which can be a very serious thing. So I accepted, I mean,
why not? When else will I have the opportunity to have lunch with an older
Bedouin couple in a falling down mudbrick house in an oasis in the middle of
the sahara...right. I did leave enough money to cover many lunches though.
...fight kindness with more kindness.
