This was taken in a small family compound in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia.
Down the hill, through the fields, cross the stream, up the other side and
you'll find it. Extemely isolated and not in the best shape. No electricity,
although power lines were basically going right overhead, no running water, no
furniture whatsover that I saw. Just a few mud huts in a compound made of sticks.
This young boy was a bit shy and just like the other men of the village, seemed
to be almost embarassed by the situation. I'm not sure, but I do know they were
a fine bunch of people and were extremely surprised to see white guys walking up
to their house.
Taken one days drive outside of Mekele headed towards Lalibela, Ethiopia.
