Compare this photo to the one titled "Cozy Kitchen". The counter with the vertical board siding was built to enclose a 55 gallon water barrel. The bowl on the counter is actually a sink with a drain. We plan to install a pump faucet from a sail boat. Some day the barrel may fill automatically but for now the counter top is hinged so the barrel can be filled or emptied manually. The sides of the counter can be removed for the biannual barrel cleaning.

Note the new and much smaller table in the foreground. Like many other tiny house dwellers, we have learned the importance of scaling the furniture to the space.

WHOA!! Your place looks almost like ours! :-) We also have exposed wood beams and a loft, but we are planning on putting in a cob stove and tromble wall. Winter is approaching and we are almost finished. Check out our website and let us know if you have any advice or comments. www.billygoatsgruff.org
Thanks! Patricia
