Abbie,
Anna's house is much better than the cob house in winter. Both the original bale/cob and the new light clay/straw with interior cob are tight and well insulated. The cob is tight but has little R value. Both houses do well in the summer.

The photos are a joy & offer wonderful cob details - not only in this album but the others featuring cob building too. Would be interested in learning about your experiences with temperature differences between the bales vs cob in both the cold winters and humid summers.

It's so exciting to have both a stawbale and a cob house so close to each other. Maybe we can solve a debate over which is truely warmer in cold weather.

Thank you Mullenneaux Family! The time that we got to spend with each other was very rewarding. I thoroughly enjoyed everyday working with you guys. I love knowing that I was able to help build Anna's house and put a part of me into it! Thanks. Andrew from Being And Doing, Incorporated...
