Hans,en het Mijnwerkers Museum op de Cite? en de "Mining"Buildings? Coalmine Limburg-Maas,Corporate Mainoffice Building would fit better....anyway this is an excelent galery of our home town.Leo Kohlbacher,36 years in the L.A.area...........

Nice to see a very great gallery. I was born there and lived there for about 14 years. I recognize some places of Eisden and that makes me so happy!!
Now I'm living in Italy but I'll hope to return back and visit the town very soon!!

Beautiful pictures of Leut. I was born in Leut and lived there for 21 years. In 1981 I moved to Taiwan and I'm living in Laos now. Wow! Although I still recognize the place a lot has changed.
It's also nice to see pics of Eisden Tuinwijk as I went to school there (Saint Barbara Instituut).
Kudos to you for your pics are great.

The photos brought back many memories for me. I spent 2 weeks for a good few years in Maasmechelen during the British miners strike and then with the family who looked after my brother and I.

I loved the pictures it made me home sick. I just went back to Maasmechelen this feb the first time in eight years. Boy has it changed. I've been in California since 1990.

Heb meerdere jaren in As gewoond (jaren 80) en in Lanklaar gewerkt. Ben altijd graag naar Maasmechelen gegaan. Ik zie er is veel veranderd. Waar is het hotel LIKA gebleven?
