The Series "ONE HOUR IN THE LIFE OF A ONE-DAY OLD COMMON LOON CHICK" continued from yesterday. (See previous two postings for description, notes and the initial images, 1a, 1b, 1 & 2....7).
Image 8 (above): After swimming around for a while, junior wants back up. Mom/Dad obligingly raises his/her wing and lowers his/her body. Junior struggles a bit, but finally manages to get up.
Image 9: Once back on board, it’s time to do some grooming.
Image 10: “Perhaps I should straighten out Mom/Dad’s feathers a minute too”
Image 11: “Now, I’ll MOON that photographer before embarking on………….”
Image 12: “…………. an other cruise up the Mississippi.”
