Two comparison images of Mrs. and Mr. Bobolink.
A few of us were out looking for the Black-billed Cuckoo when we came across some agitated Bobolinks flying over and in-out of the tall grasses all around us. I think we must have been near their nest. There were one female and several males. The female was obviously gathering food for her young and the males were doing their territorial pursuit of us, the intruders. We did not find the nest, but I did manage some good shots of the elusive female in her natural tall grassland habitat. And no, the Cuckoo was a no show this time.
