After we heard that a young Buck had been wounded, a few of us went to look for it. We found it deep inside the Pine Trees cowering low to the ground. It appeared frightened and in obvious distress. There was not much blood evident and he was able to get up and slowly walk away. It seemed therefor that though the wounds appeared to be almost at spine-level, the spine was not damaged and the absence of a lot of blood suggested that no main blood vessels were cut. Some foreign material could however be seen in the exit wound which could result is serious infection.

My next posting will be a series of images taken about three days after we first found the wounded Buck.
