Five images of Little brother, now alone in the nest and nest tree as Big Sister flew off the nest yesterday. Little Brother has now ventured out onto a top branch too. In these images he is doing some wing stretches etc. in preparation for his imminent departure from the nest.

Top Image: Doing a full stretch of its left wing whilst keeping a stern eye on the spectators and photographers at a distance below.


A slightly altered wing position and a sterner look down. All the while hanging on with one foot.


Looking straight down at a young child directly below.


Holding out his most potent weapon; namely, one of his talons as if to say " watch it, don't come too close or I'll get you" - mind you he is at least 20 meters up and hasn't flown yet. Hence, like Peter suggested, maybe he is just giving me a high-five.


With both feet now firmly planted and head slanted he seems to be intently studying the distant photographers below.
