Found four Great Grays in one area today. These Owls migrate south into our area in significant numbers every 4 to 5 years or so when their food source (voles) up north is in short supply. this seems to be one of those years. The Owls are not afraid of people, probably thinking them to be just an other mammal that can do them no harm. We are therefor able to get up quite close to them.

Presently I, and several other photographers, were able to get off shots of them during a heavy snowfall.
