After initially having spent two days In St. John's, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, we set off for the sea bird colony at cape St Mary's. On our way to Cape St. Mary's we stopped off at Salmonier Nature Park where they keep and look after hurt animals and birds that can not be returned to the wild. There is a long boardwalk there along which various birds and animals can be seen in their respective closed off areas. This is a beautiful park and the admission was free. I'll be posting images taken from here over the next several days.
The above image is of a Snowy Owl with a damaged wing. Never before have I seen a Snowy in a summer setting.
