After our initial visit to the Bird Islands at Elliston, we decided to check out the town, grab a coffee and then relax at the B&B for a bit. At four PM, I decided to go back to the Bird Islands. My wife was into a good book and decided to sit this one out. When I got to the area, there was no one else there; however, there was a Puffin sitting on the mainland. As I carefully approached,it unfortunately flew off.

An other photographer showed up shortly thereafter. As I was lamenting my missed opportunity to him, in flew one Puffin, then two, then...... for a total of about 20. They perched right on the edge of the mainland less than 10 meters from where we sat. Following are three of the shots I took.
