Three images of a Lapland Longspur. An other first (lifer) for me. This Longspur was not quite as easy to approach as its Horned Lark buddy ( see http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/129634978 ). It often crouched low in the grass and constantly looked over its shoulder to check were we were. It never strayed far from the Lark however; hence I was able to get some good shots of it. I understand that today a second Lark had joined the other Lark and that the Longspur appeared to have left the area.
