Five images of the mother Red Fox and of some of her eight pups. Mother looks pretty worn out. She just came back from a hunt and brought back a muskrat, I think to feed to the young. They, however seem still to be only interested in her milk. The constant attention demanded by the eight young must be hard on the mother Fox. Reportedly, the dad Fox has also been seen, so perhaps he helps some in taking care of the young.

In the top image, some of the young crouch close to mom, whilst mom appears to be taking a little nap.


Same as the top image except mom now has her eyes open. There seems to be something wrong with her right eye. I suspect that she may be blind in it.

Four of the mischievous young. They are constantly on the go, tugging at mom's teats, play fighting and cavorting around. Presently three seem to be checking out us two photographers.


One of the young peeping out from an other hole seems to be checking us out also.
