April 2009 Adam Vander Velde

20090416 Adam's 045 Peacock (M - SERIES).jpg

Almond

Four images taken by my eight year old Grandson, Adam. They were taken at a friends hobby farm not far from Ottawa. The Owners told us that the male Peacock had just returned from his week of AWOL. Apparently he just takes off for a week or two each Spring, then he just returns as if nothing has happened. Perhaps he is cavorting with the Wild Turkeys in the area as there are no other Peacocks around. Mrs Peacock apparently doesn't object to his disappearances. The male put on a nice feather display for us.

In the above shot my Grandson not only gets the Peacock, but also a reflection of me taking a shot.

Rear View.

FEMALE. She obviously still loves him in spite of his wanderings; but then, what else can she do - there are no other suitors around.

Fantistic photos Adam, particularly the front on shot. With a bit more practice you'll be as good as your grandfather. Keep up the good work.
