Each year, with the beginning of the Holy Week, an exceptional festival starts in the province of Pampanga in the Philippines. Since the beginning of the week lots of local boys walk around and perform the act of flagellation. The final day is Good Friday which starts with a stage of the Way Of The Cross. Eventually, a couple of volunteers decide to be crucified (by nailing hands to crosses) to perform the act of Jesus Christ's death. This act usually follows their personal vows given to God and, in fact, is much more than just a performance.
