Danish Rolling Block

What was previously a nice Danish Rolling Block is no longer in that condition. We are just thankful that the shooter did not suffer serious injury - other that a short hospital visit to have some metal removed from his arm.
The 16th cartridge exploded, Previous cartridge diameter: 50.2, Overall Length: 179.9, Next cartridge: Bullet 385 grains, Lubed with 50/50 Crisco and beeswax, Newspaper wad, .025 Circle Fly Wad, Powder charge: 56.2 grains Goex "Cartridge," Cartridge diameter: 49.9, Length: 179.9, All previous 15 shots were in a 5 inch group at 200 yards. Some of the remaining cartridges were taken apart and no unusual evidence was apparent that would have caused the receiver and barrel breech to come apart like it did.

These Danish Rolling Block rifles were made in 11.7 x 51 Danish. Many were imported relieved at the breech so that they'd accept a 45/70 cartridge which is a tad longer. I have never seen one of .50 caliber. It therefore, seems to me that the too large bullet caused an increase in pressure so the rifle let go. Mine shoots a 45/70 round just fine.

what type of ammo,if reloaded, info of powder and charge, i have a dane rb but have not shot it yet, still researching,but this just freaked me out,thanks for any info on this
