The early #9's were uncheckered. This is a good example. Oddly enough, nicer wood was used for the uncheckered rifles than the checkered rifles that came later. Caliber is 38 - 55W, the barrel length is 30 inches, LOP is 13 inches, and weight is 7 pounds.
