Thanks Roy and Doug, for the quote.

Hey Manny, hope you and Roz are doing OK now.

We did wonder about and missed both of you at Tsukiji's... but yes, priorities were in order.

Well, another month in the calendar and our lives has gone by.

In the autumn of our years, they seem to arrive so slowly then go by so fast.

We've lost so many classmates over the past few of them and there were also many of us who lost other loved ones.

But move on we must... there are many tomorrows ahead... most of them, hopefully, very bright ones.

Hal

Aloha to all my classmates.

Sorry about not making the lunch.

Didn't realized we were so loved.

I had a pace maker installed and my wife a knee replacement and we just couldn't make it.

The pacemaker is doing so well that I don't need viagra anymore.

I'm just like that duracell commercial, I can run forever.

Sorry Irene for not making it.

If anyone want's to call me, my cell is 808-896**** ( email me for number - Hal )

Better talker then writer.

Plus our daughter will be entering St. Francis High School in the 9th grade, so I'll be a lot more busier.

God bless,

Manny

Wow... already at the half-way point of this year.

Congrats to Joseph, Sonny and Terry Tambunting's son... good to hear.

Glad you made it back OK Pam... 24 hours of traveling/waiting from point to point is no fun... recently went through

a 20 hour swing too, from my home to the hotel because of flight delays and missed connections... and this was

just to the west coast, where I missed a full day of a trade show... no fun at all.

It was really great Gerri, to see so many classmates again at Tsukiji's... wish I'd been able to hear what some of

them were saying to me though.

If anyone else reading this knows of another venue with Tsukiji's attributes but with a possibly quieter surrounding,

let us know... I know, I know... us old deaf seniors are the buggers making most of the noise, thus more so, a quiet

surrounding environment would probably help.

Yes, Ige's is open for lunch from 10AM to 1:30PM, Mondays to Fridays... their lunch menu, is a similar but lighter

version of their dinner menu, still looks pretty good though... and yes, also wondering about that Mattos couple.

Thanks Carl, and thanks Tillie... hadn't seen or talked to Tommy in quite a while so it was nice to do so again.

Thanks Roy, that's a bonus quote to add to the recent one Doug gave to me... when visiting Doug by the way, as usual

he was more about the recent passing and illnesses of classmates than his own situation.

Yes, thanks for this wonderful blog that keeps us KHS '60ers informed of all the happenings for all to participate

in and also to know what's happening with fellow classmates no matter where they are.

Sure keeps us close at heart!

And thanks to you too, Gerri, for always coordinating these get togethers for all of us to enjoy.

It's even more special since many have gone to meet our Lord and Savior and we may not see them again.

Left Honolulu Saturday night at 8:45pm on American Airlines to LA, then to Dallas, Texas, and then to Toronto,

Ontario, Canada!!

Landed Sunday at 6pm but didn't get out of the airport til 7:45pm since they didn't find my luggage til the very

last minute.

I had filed the "lost" paperwork and then they found it. What a relief!!

Today I unpacked my suitcase, carry-on and 3 boxes!!! I'm beat!!

Take care and thanks again.

Love, Pam

Harold, yes, it always is so nice to see and have so many old friends together to talk story with but as you said

because of the size, it was difficult to carry on longer conversations and to have conversations with everyone.

As for the hearing issue, the noise did not help and I believe hearing every word was difficult for some.

Franklin Tam is a cousin to Arline Hirahara Gokan, he was having a meeting with friends at another table.

I think of Doug often and I am glad that Pam and Irene were able to visit Doug during their Island visit.

Sorry Irene I did not mean to omit your husband, Don.

On other buffett venues, many places like Pagoda, Makino chaya, the old Hanaki's etc. all have time limits for

large groups.

Tsukiji's does institute a time limit, however, as you may have noticed they base it on how busy and crowded they

are for the day.

Generally in the middle of the week during lunch they are flexible when the restaurant is not full.

When booking reservations I always inquire on how busy they are.

Another different possibility perhaps is Ige's 19th hole restaurant across Buzz's that may be a consideration

since I understand that they now serve lunch from 10am to 130pm Tuesday to Saturday, however, I don't know

if is for their full menu or just limited lunch items.

Need to check their menu out.

Since you live a hop and skip away from Ige's maybe you can enlighten us.

Since Mattos was "MIA", maybe we will see Mattos one fine day.

Much mahalo Harold,

Gerri BD

Hal, you need to give credit where it is due.

It was Tillie who convinced Thomas to attend the luncheon and I only forwarded his email address to you in case

he did not send you his email address.

Anyway, no big deal I'm sure you just referred to the his email address but if Tillie didn't get tommy there I would't

have convince him to send my his email address to me since he couldn't remember it.
