White Orchids - Image Harvesting

This image illustrates a techniques called image harvesting.
The shot was taken with the focus on the forward buds, focus on
the left flower, and finally focus on the right flower. You
need a sturdy tripod and a cable release to minimize camera
movement. You then composite the images to get strong detail
in all areas. Then from the resultant image you apply other
lightening and darkening techniques to draw focus to the
main/important elements of the image. I will write more on
this later and provide a link to an online article.--Rene

I love it. Great image with a tonality that I love. I spent a long time looking at this one, analyzing various details and then finally, sitting back and simply enjoying it!

(Something that came to me: Had I shot the photo (ha), I would have been tempted to use a bit more smoothing on it but in looking at your photograph, I realize my approach would have ruined it, thanks for the lesson!) gmv
