: Leaf? :

I had this image of a leaf that was too soft so I tried playing with it with liquify. The jury is still out. Trying to make up my mind if I like it or not.

This is really pretty. I'm always looking for backgrounds for the collages I do for high school seniors. This one would be great!

Rod, I think you are right. I have seen other images where people have done this sort of thing and it turns out great. I just don't think I am very good at it. I think the best thing I can do is go back to the original plant/leaf and use my tripod and get a really sharp infocus shot.--Rene

Pretty hip colors and funky composition.I like the swirled effect.I've have played similar games with my own images. And speaking for myself only, I find that although these effect manipulations are intriguing for the moment, my preferences are for au natural or found situations.Whether it's a reflection, distortion through glass or color projected on curved surfaces. And that's a snobby purist opinion.I guess everyone has their own artistic merit zone.Fractals were all the rage at one time, too. It's all an aquired taste. In any event have fun with the effects, you might brainstorm other ideas in the process :-)
