Palaeogalleries

The main idea underlying the assembly of this group of fossils was to represent the evolution of life on the planet through the succession of exceptionally preserved fossil biotas.
The specimens form part of the StrataSmith Museum collection.

A byproduct has been a large number of publications, ten of them to date presenting new species.

Numerous valuable specimens have been donated to museums in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, and Asia, sadly an often impoverishing and thankless experience (the AMNH in New York being an exception).
