West Pennines Minerals

Barite is the dominant gangue mineral in this outer zone of the Pennine orefield, but fluorite occurs at the Hilton Mine ( http://northernenglandminerals.blogspot.com/2014/11/westgarth-forster-1821-fluor-spar.html ).

The following mines are included in this area: Silverband, Dufton, Hilton, Murton, Lunehead and Hunter's Hush.
