In February and March 2006 Debby & I visited four South Indian states - Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Goa. This was our second trip to India and was every bit as enjoyable as the first. India is a feast for the eyes and a photographer's paradise, presenting us with endless colors, elaborate temples, beautiful scenery, and interesting juxtapositions of new and old cultures. Most important of all are the people of India, who are among the friendliest we have encountered. We were warmly received everywhere we went.
These galleries are intended to be a travelogue, of sorts. As such, there are a number of different views of the same subject. Many of the images were taken from moving vehicles.
My thanks to Ms. Alka Sharma, our local guides, and the Rough Guide to South India for much of the information included with the photos.
