A few shots from Brooklyn Center, 9/24/05, three days after a sudden storm ripped through the Twin Cities metro causing widespread damage. The images here are typical of the neighborhoods that were moderately affected - some, such as Andover and Blaine, had houses completely destroyed, most likely by tornadoes. A severe hailstorm contributed even more to the damage I saw a photo on the news of a hailstone 6 inches in diameter. Had it not been for Rita (and Katrina) this would likely have been the lead national story.
