Chile is an interesting place. In the south you have Patogonia, which is breathtaking. In the middle is Santiago, which is covered by a thick carpet of perpetual smog except for the day after a good rain. From Santiago north is nothing but desert...dirty, plain desert littered with refuse. Valle de Luna is an interesting spot though, a mystical place worth checking out.
