This is on the north side of the house and doesn't get much sun. There used to be a hideous, ancient falling apart wood planter at the base of the chimney, with equally ugly hosta growing in it. While Ecoscapes was installing the front yard garden, they offered to dig up that for me and then replaced it all with this columbine, which as we can see does really well in this spot!
