I'm volunteering for raptor care at Richardson Nature Center and have finally graduated from cleaning bird poop to actually holding a bird. Ok, so I still have to clean up poop too! That poor kestrel had to endure my endless practicing of putting it on a perch and taking it off, and tying a falconer's knot. He's a very patient bird!
