On the east edge of the property, looking north along the spot where the grapevine use to stand. Legend has it that a previous owner had kept it up nicely and actually used the grapes to make wine. Of course the owners immediately prior to me didn't take care of anything, and it got completely out of control. Although wild grape is native, it's aggressive and was such a mess that I didn't want to keep it. I had a lawn service come and tear down/haul away most of the grapevine. They left the trellis that was holding it up, and a larger buckthorn and another tree that I had to cut down. I dismantled and removed the trellis. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of that. This photo shows just the stumps remaining, and doesn't really do it justice. Northern white cedar will be planted here.
