Whilst it was passing over the level crossing at Mckinnon, a car ran into the SIDE of the first carriage, hitting the middle of the carriage in the equipment case, making it totally disabled.

The passengers have been detrained from the train, and the Police and 'boys' attend the scene. Later in the morning, another train will have to proceed 'wrong line' from Caulfield, to couple to the front of it, and haul it into Caulfield holding loop.
