Tommy Thompson Park is located at the end of Leslie Street, just south of Lakeshore Blvd. I didn't find out about this park until few weeks ago and I live half a mile from it! This park is a man made peninsula. It's made of construction wastes. The whole peninsula is about 8 KM if you go around it, or about 5KM deep into Lake Ontario. Many species of butterflies, birds and other wild animals can be found in the park. It's also a great place to bike, roller blade, walk, and of course photograph.
This park is continuously under construction (expanding) and therefore is closed to the public on weekdays, and only open to the public on weekends and holidays. However, joggers and bikers use the park on weekdays and usually without intervention from the park keeper.
