This is a huge lens! Unfortunately it's not a lens that you can use every time you go out. It could look very intimidating when mounted on the camera. Imagine pointing this lens at someone!

I have not used this lens much, but what I have found is that the lens is at it's optimum aperture at F11 to F16. Wide open at F5.5, the lens is a bit soft and low in contrast, but, I have noticed that I LOVE the effect when shooting one stop down. The pictures come out with a luminous and soft quality, and yet its relatively sharp at the same time. You may notice a few of the pictures having this quality.

Handholding this lens is near impossible, unless you have an arm of steel. Fortunately, the lens comes with a built-in tripod mount.
