[Update January 2008]
I sold this lens in one of my photography yard sales in the summer of 2007, thinking that I already have a Zeiss S-Planar 60mm f2.8, I wouldn't need it. Boy was I wrong. I truly regretted selling it. It is lighter than the S-Planar, has Pre-Set aperture, which is much easier to use on digital, and great colour and sharpness. If I have another chance, I will buy another one. If you already own one, do not sell it.

The more I use this lens, the more I like it. It's compact, easy to carry, and goes down to 1:1 in magnification, compared to the Tamron SP 90 F2.5 that I also have. Even without multi-coating, this lens is pretty good at flare resistance.

This lens is the exact copy of the Yashica Yashinon 60mm F2.8 macro lens, which I tink was made by Tomioka. This is one of the very earliest 1:1 macro lenses in M42 mount. Considering the age, and the fact that it's not multi-coated, the sharpness and colour are stunning.
