Konica 57mm f1.7

This lens has been in my junk bin that belonged to the useless category for a long time. Konica mount can not be adapted to Canon EOS without modifications to the mount and is largely ignored by EOS users, due to very short lens to film plane register, like the EOS mount itself. The Four-Third mount, however, changed all that. This mount is even shorter than the EOS and thus can adapt even more lenses.

I think the best coincidence is that the Konica lenses can fit the Four-Third mount without modification, when the aperture lever and the lens baffle is removed. Of course the locking mechanism is different on both mounts, thus making the Konica lens mounting securely is a problem. Most people, including me, use thick paper as shims to make the lens mount tightly on the Four-Third camera.

This lens is used with my Panasonic DMC-G1, which has a micro Four-Third mount, and is compatible with the Four-Third mount through an adapter. On the G1, this lens is equivalent to a 114mm f1.7, due to the 2x field of view conversion of the Panasonic sensor.
