This Chinese Lantern Festival is one of the largest in North America. On display from July 20 ¨C October 1, 2006 at Ontario Place.
Most of the pictures that were taken at night are captured with the Super-Multi-Coated 28mm f/3.5 Takumar manual focus lens. Other lenses used were Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 80mm f/1.8, Canon 35mm f/1.4.
For the last few weeks, I have been testing the EOS-M42 lens adapter which provides AF confirmation on EOS cameras. I find it very accurate, at least on my 1D. In good light, it will give confirmation at F11. This helps tremendously for shots like the ones in this gallery.
